Call for Papers Special Issue on “Circadian Rhythms: Teaching, Learning and Cognitive Performance” Scope of the Special Issue Individual differences among students have an influence on learning in diverse instructional situations. Diurnal preference, also known as morningness-eveningness or chronotype is one of the most important individual difference that is related to an individual’s best time (peak time) in his/her performance. Preference for morning or evening activities is an individual difference in circadian rhythms, with potential applications in optimizing work schedules, sports performance, and academic achievement. For example, in education, the time-of-day when tests are administered has long been recognized as an influence on academic performance. The current Special Issue intends to collect papers that reflect the up-to-date manuscripts about the effects of circadian rhythms on teaching, learning, cognitive performance, academic achievement and other variables related to education. We would like to invite you to submit a manuscript to be considered for publication in this special issue. There is no submission and publishing charge for the special issue. Timeline for the Special Issue: Manuscript submission will open on 1 March 2016 Manuscript submission deadline 25 June 2016 Reviewer reports on or before 1 September 2016 Revised paper submission 1 October 2016 Final manuscript submissions to publisher 31 October 2016 Publication Date of the Special Issue 15 November 2016 Submission Method: Please send a blind copy of your manuscript and a cover letter which are written in English via email to address. Manuscripts should be original and written considering the academic and ethical rules. They should not be published or should not be under review elsewhere. Manuscripts should not exceed 8000 words. Format of the manuscripts should be arranged according to manuscript A cover letter which includes the authors’ names and affiliations has to be uploaded as a separate document (Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name and, if available, the e-mail address of each author). All submissions will follow the journal’s standard double blind review process. The guest editors and journal editors will make the final acceptance decisions. Manuscripts must strictly conform to the formatting and writing style requirements of the APA Publication Manual (6th edition). Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, and scientific merit. Papers will be rejected because of poor English. Accepted manuscripts that are not included in the special issue (due to space restrictions) will be published in a future issues of the journal.
